Ten minutes, and the only thing to copy across is one key.
Before you start
- Your Agency space is active. Check at /account/agency — a space waiting for payment cannot issue a working key.
- WooCommerce is installed and active on the site.
- PHP 8.1 or newer. The WordPress plugins page lists the minimums each release was built against.
1. Install the plugin
Fetch the archive from the WordPress plugins page and unpack it into wp-content/plugins, then activate it. The commands to download and verify a release are on that page; the steps are the same for every plugin we publish and are written out in Download, verify and install a plugin.
A Digipacket Agency entry appears in your WordPress menu once it is active.
2. Create a key in your Agency space
In your account, open Agency Partners, then Website & API.
- Type a name for the key — the site it is for, so you can tell your keys apart later.
- Click Create a key.
- Copy the key now. It is shown on that screen and never again.
Important
We store a one-way hash of the key, not the key. Nobody here can read it back to you. If you lose it, revoke it on the same page and create another — that takes seconds and affects only the site that was using the old one.
One key per site. You may have five active at a time, which is enough for your sites plus a staging copy.
3. Paste it into WordPress
Open Digipacket Agency in your WordPress menu, paste the key into API key, and click Save & connect.
The page then shows your agency's name, your plan and how many clients it allows. That is the connection confirmed.
4. Check the currency
The dashboard warns you if your store's currency is not the one your Agency account is billed in. Fix it in WooCommerce's own settings before you import anything: the plugin will not convert between currencies, because a converted figure is a price nobody agreed to charge.
If it will not connect
| What it says | What it means |
|---|---|
| That API key is not recognised | The key was mistyped or belongs to a space that no longer holds it. Create a new one. |
| That API key was revoked | Somebody revoked it in the Agency space. Create a new one. |
| Your Agency space is not active | The space is suspended, expired or still waiting for its first payment. Open /account/agency. |
| The server answered with something that is not JSON | Your host or a firewall is blocking the outbound call. See When something goes wrong. |
