Once Aether is active, a notice points to Aether → Getting started. It is a checklist, and each line is checked against your site rather than ticked by hand, so it always tells the truth about what is left.
The plugins
The top of the screen lists WooCommerce, Digipacket Agency Partner for WP and Elementor, each with Install or Activate when it is missing. One click each.
The steps, in order
- Connect your reseller account — the Agency Partner plugin asks for the key from your Agency space. Install the plugin and connect it has the details.
- Import your catalogue — the plugin turns each plan into a WooCommerce product at your price. See Import the catalogue and set your prices.
- Create the pages and menus — one page per service in your catalogue, each with its price grid already in place, plus Domains, About, Contact, FAQ, Blog, Privacy and Terms, and the header and footer menus. Nothing that already exists is overwritten.
- Choose a homepage — see below.
- Add your logo — in Aether → Settings → Identity.
- Fill in your contact details — the e-mail, phone and address the Contact page and the footer show, in Appearance → Customize → Aether — Site content. Fill in opens that panel directly.
- Turn on a payment method — in WooCommerce, so your customers can pay you.
A count at the top tells you how many are done.
Tip
Import the catalogue before creating the pages: the service pages are named after the services you actually sell. Created first, they fall back to five usual services with a placeholder you would then have to correct.
Choose a homepage
Open Aether → Homepages. Three are ready, built entirely from Aether's Elementor widgets:
| Homepage | Reads as |
|---|---|
| Modern | Large type, a lot of air: hero, domain search, plans, features, reviews, questions |
| Business | Light and plain, for companies: clients, plans, security, free migration |
| Cloud | Dark and technical, for servers: architecture, server plans, data centres, monitoring |
For each one: Create the page writes it, View the page opens it, Edit with Elementor lets you change it, and Use as homepage makes it your front page.
Important
Write the page again puts the original design back and replaces what you changed on that page in Elementor. To keep a copy of the original design without touching your page, use Save to My Templates instead and insert it wherever you like.
Replace the sample content
A page written from Homepages holds examples — figures, reviews, company names — that are not yours. Until you have gone through it, only you and your editors see a bar at the top saying so, with Edit the page and Mark as reviewed. Visitors never see the bar. Getting started counts the pages still waiting.
